My Year of Wild Art: Day Three Hundred Twenty-Two

My wake-sleep schedule is out of whack, and I have a hard time motivating myself to get my stretching and other self-care done first thing in the morning, so I was very out of sorts this morning. Eventually I did get my body moving and enjoyed lunch, then settled down to creating this MDC for the play-it-forward game in an art group I’m in. Lo and behold, my energy shifted and I felt better! I finally made turkey soup this evening, too. Need more veggies to add!

This evening was the first call for Your Year of Miracles (YOM) that I’m enrolled in; we did some powerful exercises and focused on where we are now and where we want to be at the end of the year. My phrase for the year is: Celebrate with Joyful Abundance! Yesss!

EnJoy this lovely creation!

Lots more rain today! Luckily not very windy.

I went and had a lovely massage from a new-to-me therapist. About time! I hadn’t had a massage in over two months.

Today I got accepted into Your Year of Miracles, a wonderful training for creating a miraculous life with Marci Shimoff, Sue Morter and Lisa Garr. This will be my third year! Well, fourth, but I didn’t participate much in year three. I’m also delighted to have received a scholarship that allows me to afford it. We begin tomorrow evening!

This evening I made this tiny little 3-way pocket, inspired by Gi Kerr of Happiness in Crafting. EnJoy!

Today I got a call from a Meet the Elite producer, following up on my 5-minute interview from December 28th; she told me that my inerview got a rating of 9.7 out of 10! She proceeded to invite me to sign on for 10, 30-minute shows with one of their top 3 celebrity hosts! This would allow me to develop talks about my business and would include a 30-second commercial, a hyperlink to my website, a digital billboard ad to run for 1-2 weeks, 2 digital kiosks to run and ad for 1 week, a live zoom call at the end of the 10 weeks (with Q & A), and the potential for sponsors. The catch? The investment for 10 shows would be a mere $5K, which I simply don’t have right now. Who knew it costs $1,000 to produce and distribute a 30-minute podcast (they offered to pay 50%)? Meet the Elite gets good ratings, though a friend of mine signed on for 5 shows and said she’s not gotten a single new client from those. Argh! Anyhow, worth the cost or not, I’m not yet in a position to invest that kind of money in my business. Now if they offered to Pay me for 10 shows, I’d be all over it!

Anyhow, that was my moment of excitement for today, and I’m grateful for the invitation and to know my interview got a good rating! Makes me feel better about it for sure.

I went out to do a couple of errands, after spending Ages on a chat with Comcast to figure out why my bill is higher than I expected (it’s a long story; apparently I had misunderstood the agreement). This evening I got on my artist group meeting and then the rest of the evening just flew away. Again I’m feeling too tired to start a new project; tomorrow! Here is another tiny purse I made several years ago. EnJoy!

My Year of Wild Art: Day Three Hundred-Nineteen

Today I finished my laundry, picked the turkey off the bones in the stock I made, got my Christmas tree out the door and cleaned up all the fallen needles, and took it easy for the rest of the day. I kept intending to make a new art something, but kept allowing myself to be distracted and suddenly it’s midnight and I’m ready to call it a day!

Oh, I also found out that I won a gift in an art group I’m in! It’s an oversized, decorated/altered rolodex (also known as MemDex) card. I’ll share photos when it arrives, and I’ll be making one to give away in the ongoing play-it-forward game. Fun!

Here is a reminder that I have some lovely custom printed gifts in my boutique, perfect for birthdays, Valentine’s Day, Easter and more! Check out the choices here: so far, I’ve been very happy with the items I’ve ordered for myself. EnJoy!

My Year of Wild Art: Day Three Hundred-Eighteen

A very full day today! I did two loads of laundry, then got on a call with the leaders of the Priestess Presence Temple to participate in a ritual to receive seeds for this new year. Mine were a heart for love, a diamond for sharpness, clarity and focus, and a sword to cut away limitations and false beliefs. Perfect timing!

I had a short pause, then got on a zoom call with a new friend; we shall see what unfolds for us, be it love or friendship or both. Interestingly, he used to work with the same supplements and company that I do! Now he is the owner of his own literary agency, also intriguing as I’m from a family of authors and illustrators. We both love to read!

I ate a very late lunch around 4 pm, and got on a business call with a new prospect for the Debt Shredder. Phew! That was a lot for one day!

This evening I stripped some needles from a few branches on my Christmas tree and stuffed them into this simple little pouch I sewed up; now I have a lovely way to continue smelling the fir for a long time! Sweet. EnJoy!

I did two big chores today: i swept away some of the mud, pine needlles and other debris littering my patio/walkway, and I stripped my Christmas tree of decorations, always a poignant time for me. Now it’s ready for my younger neighbor to help me get the tree out of the stand and out the door, so I don’t hurt my back.

Consequently, I’m feeling worn out and ready for bed! I’ll finish my dishes and have my bedtime snack, then hunker down for the night. Praying I sleep better than I did last night! Feeling grateful for all the good in my life. How about you?

Here is another little purse I made some time ago. EnJoy!

More rain today, though less wind than before. My home is nearly afloat! hahahaha!

I went out for a few groceries, after all, as the storm had abated some, and now I’m set for the weekend, apart from needing more drinking water in the next few days. Must get more gas first.

I made these two sweet little pouches to put into journals, inspired by Gi Kerr of Happiness in Crafting. Basically they are oragami boxes but with the shorter ends folded in. I will add some embellishments and maybe a little notebook inside. For the honeycomb one, the paper I used was too narrow, so there is no room for folding the ends inside. Guess it can be used as is, or I can open it into a box. EnJoy!

My Year of Wild Art: Day Three Hundred-Fifteen

Stayed up too late again last night, so need to make it early tonight! Went to my local chiropractor, spent waaaay too much time on some dating sites, and went to get a few groceries and other necessities, in case the weather is not conducive to driving tomorrow. We’re expecting more rain and winds, though I’m praying for calm wind and for the trees to all stay upright and the power to stay on! Got some books from the library to read, too, a good way to ride out a storm.

So, I dawdled away the day and didn’t make a new creation, and now that it’s 11 pm, I want to hunker down and prepare for sleep. Here is a little paper purse I made years ago, one of my earliest. This one made from a TP tube. EnJoy!

I got up early this morning and went to my dentist; the partial denture I ordered Finally was ready to be fitted! I spent about an hour there, while the dentist and her assistant filed down places that rubbed on the gums and polished it smooth. When I got home, I put the device in so I could chew my lunch on that side; disaster! Food got caught between gum and retainer and was irritating, plus it felt as though I was chewing on the part that goes around the inside of my gums, even though that was not so. Arrrgh! I will try it again tomorrow, but don’t have much hope. The reason I got the dang thing is to ease my chewing, and if that does not work, it’s a waste. And I don’t want metal posts in my jaw for attaching permanent false teeth. No fun.

This evening I made a little stacked pocket, inspired by Pam of the Paper Outpost. I used up a few scraps, and filled the pockets with recycled business cards that I had decorated previously. One could put anything in the pockets! It could go inside a journal or just stand alone. EnJoy!

My Year of Wild Art: Day Three Hundred-Thirteen

I attended a Miracles Masterclass with Marci Shimoff and Sue Morter today, all about how to start living in the Miracle Zone. I’m now reconsidering joining their program, Your Year of Miracles (YOM), which I did 3 years in a row, without much success. Yet now I feel I’m in a different place and could really use the support to focus on manifesting my life/love partner! I’m intending that he finds me, and that we meet soon enough that he will join my birthday celebration in February!

Spent too much time getting some tech issues resolved with PayPal, and not much else was accomplished! I did take a walk in the wet snow and my jeans got soaked again (note to self: put that raincoat over the parka anyhow!), so I only took the shorter route on my walk. Also wasted time creating a dating profile on Zoosk; the free version allows me to see guys but not read or reply to their messages! And I don’t have the budget to upgrade right now. Sheesh!

Good news: one of my nieces and her beau just got engaged! Woo-hooo! Very exciting. He is a lovely young man and we are all glad to welcome him to our family. Me next! I call my divine love partner in and allow Him to find Me, to show up on my doorstep, as it were. And so it is.

I did not get anything new made today, much as I imagined I might. So here is a lovely paper tote I made a couple of years ago and showed in the Open Studios Tour. It has since been sold. EnJoy!
