Today I got a call from a Meet the Elite producer, following up on my 5-minute interview from December 28th; she told me that my inerview got a rating of 9.7 out of 10! She proceeded to invite me to sign on for 10, 30-minute shows with one of their top 3 celebrity hosts! This would allow me to develop talks about my business and would include a 30-second commercial, a hyperlink to my website, a digital billboard ad to run for 1-2 weeks, 2 digital kiosks to run and ad for 1 week, a live zoom call at the end of the 10 weeks (with Q & A), and the potential for sponsors. The catch? The investment for 10 shows would be a mere $5K, which I simply don’t have right now. Who knew it costs $1,000 to produce and distribute a 30-minute podcast (they offered to pay 50%)? Meet the Elite gets good ratings, though a friend of mine signed on for 5 shows and said she’s not gotten a single new client from those. Argh! Anyhow, worth the cost or not, I’m not yet in a position to invest that kind of money in my business. Now if they offered to Pay me for 10 shows, I’d be all over it!
Anyhow, that was my moment of excitement for today, and I’m grateful for the invitation and to know my interview got a good rating! Makes me feel better about it for sure.
I went out to do a couple of errands, after spending Ages on a chat with Comcast to figure out why my bill is higher than I expected (it’s a long story; apparently I had misunderstood the agreement). This evening I got on my artist group meeting and then the rest of the evening just flew away. Again I’m feeling too tired to start a new project; tomorrow! Here is another tiny purse I made several years ago. EnJoy!
