My Year of Wild Art: Day Sixty-Eight

Today was another beautiful, sunny day in paradise! I participated in a fun video hop a couple of days ago, and won the prize on one person’s channel today! Woot! I’ll post photos when I receive the download.

This evening I made a little folio from a cardboard tube that I’d ironed flat, and decorated with Graphic 45 “Imagine” papers. EnJoy!

Be sure to read the post for day sixty-seven here to learn all about the subscriber challenge I’m running; it started today! Do follow all the steps in order to participate. I’ll be announcing the winner on May 30th.

View the prize–”Dream Journal Bag with Journal”–in the photos below.

Today’s creation:  I realized that I needed another place to store some of the smaller items I’ve been making, so I covered a tissue box with these pretty papers from Graphic 45’s “Voyage Beneath the Sea” collection. I adore these designs! Added some coral-colored cording and pearls from my stash, and a bit of “fishnet” made from a mesh garlic bag. EnJoy!

My Year of Wild Art: Day Sixty-Six

I began the day with a zoom gathering with the Co-Creation Community Conversations. We got to share, in groups of two, a significant turning point in our art (or other) lives, and later did an exercise to think outside the box and write out ways to expand our passion. For me, that includes finding a bigger home with separate art studio, where I can have different “stations” for things such as cutting, pasting, sewing and so forth, and all of my art supplies and tools neatly organized in one room. Expanding my passion includes finding someone to be my marketing manager/ virtual assistant, and someone else to videograph me doing tutorials, so that I can add another dimension to offer my followers. My expanded art vision includes a gallery and classroom, with many students attending my playshops. I desire to sell my around the world, spreading joy and delight with my creations. I’m seeking others to collaborate with, too. What are some ways you can expand your own passion, whatever that may be?

Reminder:

It starts tomorrow! I’m running a contest from May 1st to the 30th. In order to particpate for the drawing on the 31st, you must:

This afternoon I decorated and embellished the little paper bag envelope that I created yesterday. EnJoy!

My Year of Wild Art: Day Sixty-Five

This evening I wanted to clear out a bit more clutter, so I took some pieces from a paper bag I’d cut up and prepped a couple of smaller bags and an envelope to decorate. I also made a cute little folio with some great cards from Graphic 45’s “Typography” collection. EnJoy!

Did you see my post on the 27th? I’m starting a new challenge on May 1st; read all the details here so you can particpate! I will begin counting on first, not before then.

An Exciting Idea! Please Respond

I just had the brilliant idea of offering a subscription plan for a monthly journal that I make! I would offer 3 options:
a tiny notebook for writing down your gratitudes; a larger journal for more extensive writing, or a variety of different journals each month. There would be 3 different price points for the subscriptions, too.

These journals would consist mostly of blank pages for writing on– at least 32 pages – though I would include embellishments and possibly a few pockets or tuck spots for additional cards or tags to write or draw on.

What do you think? Would you be interested in a monthly subscription? If so, please comment below AND fill out the form on this page, so that I may email you with the details. I plan to open this offfer on Wednesday May 4th.

Here are photo examples of the different journal sizes, to give you an idea.  Thanks for responding!

Today’s creation is another sweet tea bag charm, using a stamp from the Graphic 45 “Princess” collection. EnJoy!

My Year of Wild Art: Day Sixty-Three

Tomorrow I will be reviewing comments, likes and shares for the past 30 days, and shall do a drawing at 10 pm PST for the winner of my giveaway! So get your interactions posted on this blog now!

What is the giveaway prize? I will make a special post in the morning to show it off. Gotta have a little anticipation!

This evening I made 3 more teabag collage ornaments, so very pretty! The two photos show each side of the two larger ones; the middle collage is blank on the back.

My Year of Wild Art: Day Sixty-Two

I made the litle collage here while listening to a presentation on the air scrubber technology that I sell; it’s awesome! After that presentation, I had time to warm and eat my dinner before getting on my Artists of Toastmasters weekly gathering for an evening of creativity and conversation. We spoke about our plans for going forward with art, and next small steps we can take to get us there.

Later this evening I made a little notebook from a cardboard tube that I had ironed flat and painted gold, and finally decided what to do with it. Used up some scraps to decorate it, and made pages from brown packing paper that I also ironed. EnJoy!

NOTE: Only 2 day left before the drawing of all those who engaged with my posts for the past 30 days, and the winner will receive a surprise gift! Invite your friends to subscribe and join the fun, too! So get your comments posted, share and invite friends before the 27th!

My Year of Wild Art: Day Sixty-One

An art group that I’m in is running a fun game, where we answer a question each day for 12 days, and earn “currency” to spend on goodies in celebration of the 1st anniversary of the group. Today’s challenge was to decorate an envelope in under 10 minutes. Hah!

I decorated this envelope with lovely Christmas papers from Stamperia, and made a tuck spot on the front. I cut out a printed shape that I’d glued to red paper for a tag to go in it– and then that tag DISAPPEARED!!! I kid you not. I looked all over my desk several times–even cleared it of scraps and cleaned off the glue stains– searched the trash, looked all around the room, nada. I think the dang house fairies hid the tag, and they haven’t given it back! SUPER annoying! Anyhow, I finally broke down and made another tag for the front of the envelope. I will say the 10-minute time frame was too short for me; it took nearly that long just for all the fussy cutting and gluing! Not counting the time for the card I had to make to go inside the envelope, and the time spent searching for the missing item…. Anyhow, here it is. EnJoy!
