Today I made this pretty pocket to go on the front of a journal; I got the inspiration from Natasa of Treasure Books. Took me a long time to choose papers and embellishments, so it was not as quick to make as it could have been! EnJoy!

Oh, my goodness! I actually shut down my computer for the night, then remembered I hadn’t made my post yet! So here it is.

I’m participating in a stocking swap for a group I’m in, so today I pressed this stocking from my collection (I have 4 others!) and made sure the seams are tidy and pressed. Here are some of the elements I’m adding to the stocking (there is a list in the swap to fulfill), and I’ve added a few more things not shown. Need a custom stocking filled for someone on your list? Send me a message and order now! EnJoy!

My Year of Wild Art: Day Two Hundred Forty-Six

I spent most of the day preparing for my dinner guests, a couple who have not been to my house in over two years! I rearranged furniture, prepped food, set the table, cleaned the bathroom and swept the main room, and got everything ready before my 4:00 pm appointment with a potential customer for my other business.

It was so delightful to share a meal with my friends again! I served my House Special: chicken thighs roasted with maple syrup, balsamic vinegar, mushrooms and whole garlic cloves; along with brown rice and broccoli. More pot de creme au chocolat for desser, all of it divine!

Now my dishes are done, I’ve sent a couple of business emails and I’m ready to call it a night. Here is a scarf I made from an old tee shirt a year or so ago. EnJoy!

My Year of Wild Art: Day Two Hundred Forty-Four

Today I decided to finish off this pretty recycled Pringles can that I started several years ago. I cut part of the sides away from the bottom to make a hinged opening, which I lined with felt. I had originally used white cording to lace it closed, but then took the cord out to use for another project. I finally realized I could use ribbon instead, and laced it up with this sheer ribbon. Alas, I did not take a photo of the inside before closing, and it’s too much work to undo for a photo shoot. I used 4 flat-backed glass marbles for the feet. EnJoy!

My Year of Wild Art: Day Two Hundred Forty-Three

Today I had a call with a realtor friend about the Financial GPS I sell; she could potentially refer clients to me. Great! Then I went to Grocery Outlet again, splurged on 2 more parcels of venison steaks and some chicken thighs for my dinner guests this week (venison is too gamey for them). Went to another market for chocolate and heavy cream so I can make more pots de creme for Thursday. Mmmmm!

This evening I joined my artist zoom group and worked on this little notebook, again made with a flattened TP tube for the cover. Plain white pages inside, plenty of room for writing or drawing tiny pictures. EnJoy!

My Year of Wild Art: Day Two Hundred Forty-Two

I woke up more energized today, yay! Got my stretch routine done– and later took a brisk walk– and made my yummy pasta sauce with ground venison and fresh tomatoes from the Farmer’s Market, fresh rosemary from my potted plant. Mmmmmm!

It was chilly and windy today, so I was grateful to turn my heat on for a while, until the cooking warmed the place up a bit more. It’s going down to 39º F tonight, brrrrr! I so love autumn!

This evening I ironed several cardboard tubes to flatten them out, and turned one into this sweet little notebook, using scraps of Classic Christmas papers from Stamperia. EnJoy!

My Year of Wild Art: Day Two Hundred Forty-One

We Finally have cooler, Autumn temperatures now!  Today was a perfect day for lounging around–after doing my laundry and hanging it outdoors to dry. Went to the Farmer’s Market in the morning, too, and found some broccoli and some tomatoes to add to the pasta sauce I’ll be making tomorrow. Mmmmm!

This evening I watched a couple of tutorials, and instead of making one of the projects, I took a scrap of paper bag, folded and glued along the fold lines, then folded it in half again to make this triple pocket and some cards and a little notebook to go inside. I used remnants of the Garden collection from Stamperia. EnJoy!
