My Year of Wild Art: Day Three Hundred Forty-Two

Feeling in a funky mood today, so things did not go as planned. However, I got a little cleaning and sorting (ie papers) done, renewed my driver’s license online, completed some paperwork that I needed to handle, and had a long phone conversation for a client for whom I designed and edited two brochures. We got the refining done while on the phone, just one more thing to fix when she sends me next text tomorrow and then these projects are done! No new art, though, just this canvas I created with a photo of a flower arrangement I made. Go here to order this or any other product:

It was warm enough out to melt most of the snow/ice today, except in the most shady places, so it was easier going on my walk. Now to wash my dishes, write in my journal and prepare for sleep. I’m looking forward to my podcast tomorrow! In case you missed the prior post, here is the link to listen live; I encourage you to tune in a few minutes early. It starts at 1 pm PST, 4 pm EST. EnJoy!

I was gifted a 30-minute interview on Meet the Elite Podcast, from a friend who gave me her slot for my birthday! Woo-hoo! I will be on air at 1:00 pm PST, 4:00 pm EST  on Wednesday Feb. 1st. Join here for the live show, if you can! If you miss it, I will post a link to the replay by the end of the week. I will be talking about my wellness business, with focus on the Financial GPS I offer to help others create healthy finances.

Today my coach and I showed the Financial GPS to a local mortgage broker; she has some clients she could potentially refer to me! We will meet again the week of Feb. 20th. Yay!

It was still really cold today and a bit icy under foot in places where I was walking. It was refreshing to get outdoors anyway! Because I spent a lot of time writing my questions and answers for the host of the podcast and talking with a couple of friends, I didn’t get much else accomplished.

Here is a beautiful paper fan purse I designed and created a few years ago. EnJoy!

Just 25 more days to this year-long challenge! Woo-hooo! I’ll be holding an after-party on the 25th of February, so save the date and plan to tune in! Details will follow soon.

Today we had rain, hail, snow and more rain!  I finished baking cookies, did the rest of my laundry, talked with a friend and spent way too much time on the internet! hahahahaha! Needless to say, I did not create any new art; the cookies were it for me.

Reminder: Go to my boutique here to make a purchase of at least $134.00, and receive this lovely tote bag as a free gift! Offer ends at midnight PST on January 31st!

My Year of Wild Art: Day Three Hundred Thirty-Nine

Another lovely sunny day, a bit chilly and still delightful. Got in a nice walk and a chat with a neighbor along the way!

Today I made another quadruple batch of my famous cookies; I baked some this evening and will finish baking tomorrow.

Got to talk to my new friend in Reno, and look forward to meeting him in person in a few weeks!

Tonight I made this sweet tag with paper and embellishments from Graphic 45’s Portrait of a Lady collection, one of my favorites. EnJoy!

I received the blessing of enough money to buy gas and purchase new wiper blades for my car, thank you Goddess! So this evening I was able to go up the mountain to visit a friend for dinner; she is recovering from a broken wrist And a broken knee cap! She’s finally able to walk about and drive, and she made us a tasty Gado-Gado (an Indonesian dish) for dinner. Yummy! I took some art for show and tell, and got to have some kitty snuggles and play time with her cat. Very satisfying for all of us!

I didn’t create anything new today, too distracted by other things. So here is a pair of mitts I knitted some years ago, still available! EnJoy!

My Year of Wild Art: Day Three Hundred Thirty-Seven

Another warm and sunny day today! I got to go visit my dear quilter friend; we each showed off things we were working on or had completed, then we sat down for tea and snacks. She gave me three lovely pieces of fabric! Two are cream white–I plan to make a new slip from one piece, to replace my worn out one–and the other is hot pink silk. Not sure what I’ll use that for, and I love the color!

This evening I used a piece from a cardboard mailer and papers from the Graphic 45 Nature’s Sketchbook collection to create this pretty little notebook. EnJoy!

I slept really late today! The maintenance guys blew tons of pine needles and other debris off the roofs of our cottages, then raked up and removed them all. So much cleaner on my patio now! And so extremely loud, those leaf blowers!

We had another Year of Miracles call today with the amazing Lisa Nichols as the guest presenter. Oh my goodness, she is amazing and fabulous! Her message spoke to me on so many levels, and touched on so many of my own challenges. Two points that really stuck out for me: Lisa was addressing someone who had a question about waiting for clarity to take the next step or action. Lisa said, “clarity is waiting for your movement. If you stop moving, then everything stops and gets blocked. Keep moving forward, even if you’re ambiguous, even if you move more slowly than you want…. We have nothing to defend, nothing to prove, nothing to hide.”

The other main point that got to me was her statement, “your conviction (for your dreams) and your convenience don’t even live on the same block!” Her message was, if you have a conviction and it is not a convenient time or place, and the conviction still calls to you, then follow it. Even if your knees shake and your teeth chatter, say yes. Ahhhh. I say yes to my dream of love, even if the geographic distance between me and my love is not convenient! Love shall find a way!

This evening I finished three more heart place cards for my birthday party in February. EnJoy!

My Year of Wild Art: Day Three Hundred Thirty-Four

Another sunny day, not windy so not quite as cold as yesterday. Still definitely winter!

Today I followed up on some business contacts, made an appointment to meet with one on Friday, and chatted with Vistaprint support for my pro account. I learned that I can also design business cards, brochures, and custom print items for customers, and give them a bit of a price break, too. Nifty! Let me know if you need any print materials made for you.

This evening I made another lovely pasta sauce for dinner with ground venison, pancetta and canned tomatoes, yum! I joined my weekly artist group on zoom, then talked with a couple of friends. Now it’s late and I need to wash dishes and prepare for sleep. Since I made a couple of items yesterday, I feel OK about not creating new art today!

MUST sell some art today, as I’ve got to replace the portable clothing closet in my garage–one of the uprights collapsed when I moved it slightly!–and I have extra expenses this month and next. Buy your Valentine a sweet gift here!

For your viewing pleasure, here is a pretty card I made using a postcard from Graphic 45 and other elements. EnJoy!

Another sunny day, though windy and chilly. Did my stretching, which always helps loosen up the muscles and joints, and noticed that my neck has more range of motion than it did up until today. Good!

Today I glued to pieces of tissue box together to make this fun little folio, using Voyage Beneath the Sea papers from Graphic 45. I love these images! What do you think? EnJoy!
