My Year of Wild Art: Day Thirty-Eight

It’s finally here! The Dream Album is complete and I got the video made today. EnJoy watching it here!

I also decorated yet another small, brown paper bag with some scraps from my stash.

I was all set to film my Dream Album this afternoon–the sun was coming in the window just right and I was all set up to film–when I realized that I had not finished embellishing to my heart’s content! SO, one more day must you wait for the video. The embellishing is done now and I can film tomorrow, if all goes as planned and there are no more interruptions.

So this evening I decorated another little paper bag I’d made; I think I’m addicted to these! They are quick and fun. The image on this bag is the front of a greeting card I received some time ago, and was keeping for the perfect project. The trim and the leaf from my stash give it just the right touches. What do you think? EnJoy!

My Year of Wild Art: Day Thirty-Six

Today I learned that an local acquaintance of mine, whom I’ve not seen in over two years, has fairly advanced Alzheimer’s, and does not have the financial resources for long-term assisted living in a memory-care facility. Another friend has taken on overseeing his care and making what arrangements she can; the man has no family and is on Medical, so the options are limited. Very sad! If you’re able, make sure you set aside funds for your own elder care when the time comes, and if you have family, be sure to enlist them for help if they can. Sending love to all who have health challenges of any sort!

Today I added a word to the front of my Dream Album and finished embellishing the spine. Getting closer to the end now, and can hardly wait to show off the whole album! This is the first time I’ve ever shared the progress of making a journal. I hope you’ve enjoyed the pages.

My Year of Wild Art: Day Thirty-Five

I’m getting close to finishing my Dream Album; when it’s complete I’ll share a video tour. Stay tuned!

This evening I made another little brown paper bag, very pretty! I knew I wanted to use lace and neutral tones, then added just a touch of pink for contrast, and a row of flat-back pearls along the front opening edge. The trims at bottom are made with my two border punches, brown paper hearts layered on top of cream swirls.  I love it!

This bag could hold a nice big cookie, or a gift for someone special, or it could even hold a small journal. What do you think? EnJoy!

Remember, I’ve decided to offer a little incentive for my readers. Starting tomorrow, Wednesday March 30, I’ll be tracking likes, comments, and shares on my posts. On April 27, I will hold a drawing of all those who engage with my posts, and the winner will receive a surprise gift! Invite your friends to subscribe and join the fun, too!

My Year of Wild Art: Day Thirty-Four

Today I mailed off two tiny notebooks to a friend for a group swap I participated in. I’ll post photos after my friend receives the parcel! Below are the notebooks I received from my partner in the swap. So cute! Thanks, Wanda!

This evening I made two paper bag projects, again thanks to Pam of the Paper Outpost for the inspiration. I put some cards into the bag, though may decide to make a little journal to go inside. The bag was made from brown paper that some flowers were wrapped in for my birthday. Decorated with scraps of the Forest papers from Stamperia.

For the folded pocket, that started out as a paper bag from recycled packing paper, but it got glued together in the middle where I made the seam, so I turned it into pockets. I used scraps of Secret Garden and Botanical Tea papers from Graphic 45. EnJoy!

Another lovely creation inspired by Pam of the Paper Outpost. Thanks, Pam!

I took a remnant from a small paper bag I’d previously cut up and turned it into a new bag. Added some embellishments and found it’s the perfect holder for the Dream Big journal that I made yesterday! This just might become my giveaway at the end of April. Stay tuned!

My Year of Wild Art: Day Thirty-Two

I really went to town today! Decided to add one more page to my Dream Album (double-sided), so this is what I created today. The pages are bound into the cover now, so the photos were a little awkward to take. I’ll finish embellishing and film the album tomorrow.

I also made another pretty little journal to be used separately, as it won’t fit into the album. I really love the soft colors of these papers! EnJoy!

My Year of Wild Art: Day Thirty-One

Woo-hoo! Today marks one month since I began this adventure; only 11 months or 334 days to go!

I’ve decided to offer a little incentive for my readers. Starting on Wednesday March 30, I’ll be tracking likes, comments, and shares on my posts. On April 27, I will hold a drawing of all those who engage with my posts, and the winner will receive a surprise gift! Invite your friends to subscribe and join the fun, too!

Today I added more to my Dream Album, creating a pocket to hold the circle journal, and one more page. I also added a pocket to the inside back cover of the album. I shall be binding the album and adding final embellishments this weekend and will post a video tour when I finish. EnJoy!

My Year of Wild Art: Day Thirty

Another warm and beautiful day here! There is possibility of rain this weekend; please hold the vision with me that we get a good amount to help offset some of the drought. A nice soaking rain, calm wind and the power stays on, please!

This evening I decorated a miniature matchbox and added a tiny notebook inside. I seem to be creating lots of miniatures these days. EnJoy!

My Year of Wild Art: Day Twenty-Nine

I started my day by attending an online presentation about the air scrubber technology that I promote; it was a good session and I have two potential customers. Woot!

This evening a friend came for dinner, always welcome and lovely. He gave me some good insights into finding ways to inspire myself to take action toward my goals. The key question was, what motivates you? Some of my answers are joy/excitement/passion; self care/health/safety; peace of mind; curiosity. What motivates You?

Tonight I was motivated by joy and fun to create this little notebook. I made the cover a long time ago from a coffee mug sleeve; today I added some pages to write on and a couple of pockets that hold different sized tags, which can also be written or drawn on. EnJoy!
