My Year of Wild Art: Day One Hundred Thirty-Eight

I missed making another post yesterday! I got home from my trip about 8 pm and was too exhausted to do much more than eat, unpack, and fall into bed. I was still pretty tired today, catching up on laundry and dishes and just reading for a while.

Here is one of the tags I decorated while away; it’s a digital download from Charlene of Grand Central Crafting. Just a touch of lace is all it needed; the back is cream cardstock so that one can write on it. EnJoy!

I finished my gig for the week, and actually got to complete a couple of the art projects that I brought with me! I got a friend to take this photo for me to post The color is a bit off; I am not able to edit as well as I can with my own computer (using someone else’s right now). EnJoy!

Update: I took another photo at home; this one is more true to color. The background color of the previous image was in too much contrast.

Another very full day! I spent much of it doing the job I’m here for, then had a short soak in the hot tub, a quick dip in the pool and a shower before dinner I spent a long time having dinner and conversing with the person I’m working for; she is interested in the air scrubbers I sell, plus we spoke about essential oils, nutrition, and other topics. A great evening! and no time or energy left for creating something new. SO, once again I’ll post a previously made art piece.  You can expect more of these until the I return home on the weekend. EnJoy this little flip book, built on a large paperclip!

I’m back! I missed yesterday because the internet was down at Isis Oasis, and I’m just able to get on again this evening.

I was planning to finish one of the projects I brought with me for this post; however, this computer doesn’t appear to have photo booth, so I’ll have to wait to get someone else to take photos for me tomorrow. Meantime, here are a lovely scissors holder and needle case I made from flattened, recycled cardboard tubes some time ago. EnJoy!

Happy Independence Day! What are you declaring personal freedom from? I declare freedom from fear, freedom from stress, freedom from relationships with people who seek to harm or tear down others. I declare peace, love, joy and light as my guiding qualities!

Happy Anniversary to Fiber Fancies!! Six years ago on this day, I made my first paper purse, which was the start of my Fiber Fancies business. I got my first order for purses in late July of 2016, and shipped out 15 of them in September! That was an exciting kick off! I wonder where this new year will take my business? Please remember to shop in my online boutique here:

I’ve decided to share photos of my first paper purse along with some others I made, as well. (These are all sold.) You’re also welcome to watch the slideshow on my home page, which features many different products I’ve made over the years. EnJoy!

A lovely, cooler day today! This whole week has been cooler, and will continue cool for several more days, thankfully. I’m heading to the Isis Oasis Sanctuary in Geyserville on Tuesday, and the weather will be pleasant there, as well.

This evening I made another mini file folder, using the Vintage Shabby papers I won from Sandi Nagel. EnJoy!

Today I finished this tiny journal; the cover is made from a section of a tea box. The papers are from Stamperia’s Azulejos de Sueño collection. I had cut apart several of the miniature tags; alas, I don’t know where I put the rest! Perhaps the fairies have hidden them. EnJoy!

More car problems! Rats. It ran fine yesterday until I played the radio too long while giving the car a bath; then
I had to get a jump start and let it run for a while. Today, nothing, nada, won’t go. Grrr. My massage therapist will bring his charger on Sunday;  I hope that fixes the problem, as I’m meant to be driving to another town for gig and mini vacation on Tuesday! Stay tuned.

This afternoon I made another tag with some digital images from Charlene of Grand Central Crafting group. Thank you! I added a book page embellishment and a bit of cheesecloth for minimal decoration. EnJoy!

I emptied and vacuumed my car today, then gave it a bath and put everything back in, along with boxes of my art that are precious and I want to have with me in case of evacuation at any time. That took my creative energy for the day!

Here are a collection of recycled tp tubes I’ve created over the years; they can hold scissors, cutting knives, pens and pencils and eyeglasses. EnJoy!

I finished the project started last evening! I got the idea from “Kylie’s Card Craft”; this started out as a large cirlce that got folded and glued to form 3 pockets, as you’ll see in the last image. These papers are from Graphic 45’s “Portrait of a Lady” collection, so gorgeous! EnJoy!
