BIG disappointment today! I had a call with one of my potential customers and my coach, expecting to close the sale on the Financial GPS we sell, only to hear that my customer wants to wait until January! Oh, my! That is a long time to wait, especially since I was counting on the sale today! Now I’ll have to hustle even more to bring another sale to close. Sigh.

Again, I was not inspired to create any new art, too distracted. So here is a sweet sachet I made by sewing two heart doilies together with pink and gold ribbons. I put a bit of dry peppermint into the center; it leaks a bit but is still pretty! EnJoy!

What did I DO today? Ever have a day when you feel as if nothing’s been accomplished? OK, I made a couple of business appointments, went out to get some groceries and return library books, took a walk, watered my plants, and finished reading another novel. Nope, I did not make anything new, either. Sigh. Maybe I’m just tired of creating for a while! 😀

Oh, wait, I did add photos to my Vistaprint account to create a calendar of the dolls I’ve made! I need two more images and it will be ready for orders. I’ll do my best to take good photos tomorrow, or find someone to take them for me!

I managed to create this cute little box this evening! I used one end cut from a tissue box and covered it with this pretty paper. I added a piece of plain lavender cardstock to the inside bottom of the box, and purple felt to the outside. EnJoy!

Oooh, what a glorious Hunter moon this evening! There was a spectacular play of light and dark clouds around the moon where I live; one of my neighbors called me out and took lots of pictures. Thank you Universe for an amazing show!

I bought a small pumpkin the other day and roasted it up; today I made a yummy pie, sans crust. I was planning to make a pecan crust as I didn’t have flour for a traditional crust, but decided not to use up my pecans. Still absolutely delicious, especially served with fresh whipped cream! Mmm

This evening I made this cute little booklet from the folded piece of tissue box that I cut in preparation yesterday. EnJoy!

I decided that it counts to prepare some pieces for future art projects! So here are some bits I cut down from a tissue box. I cut either short end off, along the opening edge, and re-glued the flaps to make 2 new small boxes. Another piece of the box becomes a folded cover for a little booklet. Now I have some things to finish in the next couple of days. Stay tuned!

Where do the days go? I went out to do some errands, and stopped in one of my favorite thrift shops, just to see what was there. Alas, I missed the half-price day–it happens the first Saturday of the month, not the second Friday! – though the only thing I found that I really wanted was a pattern for toy rabbits, which I did purchase for 60 cents.

I spent time talking with my business coach and a couple of potential customers, also added several people to my email list for my wellness business. No new art creations, though. One cannot force creativity! I did consider doing a piece for a weekly challenge in one group I’m in, but my heart wasn’t in it.

Today I cooked a birthday dinner for my massage therapist, roast chicken with butternut squash and baby bok choy. We had pots de creme au chocolat for dessert, so delicious!! I received a massage after dinner, quite lovely and relaxing as always.

So, that meal was my creativity for the day. I also roasted up a turkey thigh and a small pumpkin, to utilize the oven being on already; I plan to make pumpkin flan tomorrow. Yummy food!

There is something so satisfying to shopping for and filling one’s pantry and larder with food! Though I confess that I’m astonished at the price increases on so many products–even at the Grocery Outlet! Apparently chicken prices are higher because there was a bird flu that resulted in farmers destroying huge numbers of chickens. Not sure why that justifies raising the price on healthy birds, however. Oh, well. Until I can have my own homestead again, I’ll have to pay the market prices.

I was gone most of the day, not up for making new things this evening. So here is a darling tooth fairy kit I created (and sold) a few years ago. EnJoy!

I finally finished my project! Based on a tutorial by Pam of the Paper Outpost, I glued six white envelopes onto the center strip of cloth, stacking 3 on each side. It took my ages to decide how to embellish this, so I’m glad it finally came together. The front of the first envelope I tinted with a stamp pad (I tried to add a stamp but it didn’t work; the design wasn’t cut deeply enough!) The other photos show what I’ve put into 4 of the pocekts; I left 2 empty as it was getting too bulky to close neatly. EnJoy!

No new creation again today. though I made a wee bit of progress on the project that’s difficult to finish! Some day I’ll find just the right ornamentation for it.
