I Finally got around to making this lovely Trinket Tag, my second completed project from the fall Making Zen retreat! I so enjoyed the workshop presented by Amanda Trout.
The face is one of a pair of painted wood earrings from my stash. The orange ribbon was a label from some garment. Colors are not quite the same here as on the real tag; it’s hard to correct color to be exact on my computer!
I enjoyed this project, though the stitching was a bit tricky: I found it tough to get the eye of the needle through 2 layers of denim around the edges, so I poked holes with a large needle! It was slower but saved my thumbs from hurting as I tried to wiggle the needle through. I actually stitched the scraps on just one layer of denim, then sewed both together. The back is plain. EnJoy!
