My Year of Wild Art: Day One Hundred-Twelve

Today an artist friend came over for tea and cookies, conversation and show and tell. My friend is a seamstress and quilt maker and does beautiful work! She incorporates a lot of neckties into her quilts; the squares she showed me each had a beautiful flower appliqued in the center, some parts cut from neckties, some from other fabrics. For the sashing, she bought a gorgeous pashmina scarf from a thrift shop and backed it with iron-on interfacing before cutting. I can hardly wait to see the finished quilt!

I spent too much time on the internet and otherwise being distracted from art, plus I didn’t feel inspired to start a big project. I did alter a playing card just so I could get something accomplished! EnJoy!
