In my last post I showed the Firebird ballerina I created about a week ago. I decided she needed a stage to dance on, so I coated a used canvas with gesso, then added a curtain made from russet velvet and pressed camilia leaves. I discovered that one business envelope had a wood-grain pattern inside, so I colored it with a brown pencil and turned it to become the floor. I’m so thrilled with how this turned out!  I decided to keep her for my own wall. Let me know what you think of “Firebird”! EnJoy!
